We came to this mountain retreat to experience hiking, relaxing onsen and authentic Japanese accommodation. the location was perfect for our needs, allowing us to easily access the hiking trails. the food was exquisite and the staff was very polite and attentive to our needs. We appreciated the traditional tatami room with futons, which were surprisingly comfortable and helped us to immerse ourselves in Japanese culture. the onsen water was warm and soothing, and we enjoyed the unique experience of soaking in the natural hot spring.
The insect problem in the hotel was terrible. We could hardly relax because there were spiders everywhere, which made us feel uncomfortable.

We loved our stay here! The location is perfect for hikers as the trail starts right from the hotel. The hospitality of the staff was amazing. They picked us up from the station and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. The dinner and breakfast were some of the best meals we've had in our Japan trip. We also enjoyed the hot springs which were very clean and relaxing.
Everything was spot on.

the onsen water left a soothing effect on my skin, making it warm throughout the night. the hotel's proximity to the hiking trail was a significant advantage, and the breakfast and dinner were amazing. I especially enjoyed the delicious local dishes offered.
The stay was a bit expensive, and the rooms lacked comfortable chairs for relaxing after a day of hiking. the presence of spiders in the onsen was a nuisance.

Enjoyed the natural hot spring, which was invigorating for sore muscles after a long day. The location provided breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. The included meals were delicious, offering a unique dining experience that was a highlight of the stay.
There were spider sightings in the hot spring area, which may be an issue for some guests. the bedding provided was on the firm side, which may not be comfortable for all guests.
